Treasure Hunting With a GPS

Join the thousands of outdoor enthusiasts that are treasure hunting with their GPS! Discover how to use www.geocaching.com to choose a cache to search for, program the coordinates into your GPS and then have fun finding it. There are 67 caches to choose from within 10 miles of Mankato. We will check out two or three. You will need to bring or borrow a GPS for this class. Please dress appropriately for hiking outdoors. You will also need to provide your own transportation from Q Computers to the cache sites. To use these skills: Windows XP or Vista and Internet Explorer 8 will be used but the basic concepts taught will apply to most versions of Windows and Internet Explorer.
