HTML Web Page Design - Level 1 (Intermediate Level)

In this course, students will become familiar with the formatting code used to create a website. Using Windows Notepad, students will learn how to put together a very basic web page using XHTML (Extensible Hyper Text Markup Language). You will learn basic text formatting techniques, how to insert a hyperlink, and how to create a colored page background. ARE YOU READY? You are ready for this class if you have taken "Building Blocks for Website Creation I & II" or are familiar with how a web site is set up. This class is actually a beginning programming class. Typing skills are necessary. SOFTWARE NEEDED TO USE THESE SKILLS AT HOME: Windows Notepad & Windows FTP Services. To publish your web site you will need a hosting service. If you wish to make changes to your existing site, please bring along your FTP user name and password.
