Connecting with Family & Friends through the Internet Learn how to use Windows Live Messenger to “chat” live with your family and friends around the world either via typing, audio or even video. Setup an Instant Messaging account and receive instant notification when your friends are online! Software needed to use these skills at home: Windows XP will be used but the basic concepts taught will apply to all versions of Windows. You must also download “Windows Live Messenger” (Free) and an Internet Connection. For video messaging, a web camera is required and a High Speed Internet Connection is recommended.
